The company was originally started back in 1983 while I was studying at university for an engineering degree, but we were then known as Doorcalm Security. Back in those days licensing was not heard of, and to be honest most door men or bouncers as they were known worked "in house", so we soon became very well known. In 1989 the death of my parents effected me in a way that i was no longer able to trade my company. Abal Security Limited was incorporated in 1995 and since then has gone from strength to strength, and are now one of the most dynamic companies trading in this market.

We are accredited to UKAS as a registered British Standards ISO9001:2000 company, are members of the British Security Industry Association (BSIA), The British Institute of Innkeepers (BII); and have been one of the first companies to apply to the Security Industry Authority (SIA) for the Accredited Contractor Scheme (ACS).


We have expanded into other markets also, and are now a leading name in the retail and manned guarding sectors of the industry, as  well as offering dedicated parking solutions (Abal Parking Solutions), and training to the industry in our own registered training centre, to the new legislated standards required for licensing.
